Help: Add a contact: bulk upload contacts
You can bulk upload many contacts into Jobster from a variety of sources, including Outlook, Yahoo, Gmail, LinkedIn, Plaxo, ACT!, Palm Desktop, or your Applicant Tracking System.
First, you need to export your contacts from the application into a CSV file (a CSV file is a simple Excel file).
Then, once your CSV file is ready, bulk upload your contacts as follows:
- From your Dashboard, select Add contacts, and then select Import from Excel, Outlook, and other applications.
- Upload the CSV file that contains your contacts by selecting the Browse button and then navigating to the place on your computer where the CSV file is stored.
- Optional: you may choose to add all the contacts in your list to a particular Folder or Job function. You may also modify the Contact visibility (should the contact be shared with all the recruiters at your company, or should the contact be visible by you only), and the Employee status (select this only if the CSV contains a list of employees at your company).
- The Review field mapping page will show you if any of your fields aren't mapping to one of our standard Jobster field names. If not, you have the option of revising the CSV file and starting again.
Otherwise, select Import now. The contacts from your CSV file will be uploaded to Jobster.
